Oklahoma Boys State presents delegates with the opportunity to jump start their college education by earning up to three upper level college credits. Rogers State University offers delegates three hours of upper level college credit for successfully completing the Oklahoma Boys State Education program. They will enroll at Rogers State University as concurrent high school students.

Enrollment Requirements

Delegates must apply for enrollment and register directly with Rogers State University PRIOR to the completion of Oklahoma Boys State. They may not register after the completion of Oklahoma Boys State.

RSU registration requires an email address for the high school counselor AND principal for submission AND a parent.

The counselor or principal must electronically submit:

  • The high school counselor OR principal’s permission for concurrent enrollment
  • A current transcript
A parent must also submit permission for concurrent enrollment electronically.


Those requests can take time, so we suggest they start now!

Academic Requirements

Delegates must successfully pass each quiz in the Classroom Instruction portion of the Education Program and write an essay by the end of the week. The essay topic changes every year to preserve academic integrity but consistently relates to subjects relevant to the OKBS curriculum. Grades for college credit reflect performance on the quizzes, completion of the essay, other short projects, and participation in the other activities at Boys State.

Tuition and Fees

Delegates can earn these credits completely free of charge, but ONLY if the enrollment process with Rogers State University is completed PRIOR to the first day of Oklahoma Boys State AND they qualify for the state concurrent enrollment tuition waiver. If delegates enroll for college credit with RSU, they will be charged University fees if the enrollment (including counselor/principal permission forms) process is not completed PRIOR to your arrival at Oklahoma Boys State.
